Tool is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1990. The band consists of vocalist Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, drummer Danny Carey, and bassist Justin Chancellor. While achieving mainstream success, Tool’s music incorporates elements from various genres, including progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and art rock. They’re known for complex compositions, lengthy songs with odd time signatures, and cryptic lyrics that often deal with philosophical themes. The band has released five studio albums, with “Ænima” and “Lateralus” being considered their most progressive works. They’ve won multiple Grammy awards and continue to be a relevant force in the rock world.
