Sia

Sia, born Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, is an Australian singer, songwriter, record producer, and music video director. She began her career in the acid jazz band Crisp in the mid-90s before embarking on a solo career. Early on, she achieved recognition for her powerful vocals and songwriting talents, but it was masked by a preference for privacy. Sia’s sound is known for its blend of pop, trip-hop, and alternative influences, often featuring soaring vocals and catchy melodies. Her breakthrough came in the mid-2010s with a string of hit songs like “Chandelier” and “Cheap Thrills,” often sung by other artists while Sia herself remained hidden from the spotlight, frequently performing with her face obscured by wigs. Despite her unconventional approach to fame, Sia has become a global pop icon, known for her distinctive voice, powerful lyrics, and innovative music videos.
