Scorpions
The Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover, known for their contributions to the hard rock and heavy metal genres. Originally founded by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, the band’s lineup solidified in the 1970s with the addition of vocalist Klaus Meine, bassist Francis Buchholz, drummer Herman Rarebell, and guitarist Matthias Jabs. They gained international fame with hits like “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” “Wind of Change,” and “Still Loving You,” blending powerful melodies with anthemic choruses. The Scorpions are recognized for their energetic performances and their ability to evolve over the decades, incorporating elements of glam rock and progressive metal.
