Mario
Mario, also known by his full name Mario Dewar Barrett, is an American R&B singer who rose to fame in the early 2000s. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he landed a record deal at a young age and achieved commercial success with his self-titled debut album in 2002. The album featured the hit song “Just a Friend 2002,” a remake of a Biz Markie song that reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His follow-up album, “Turning Point,” was even more successful, containing the chart-topping single “Let Me Love You.”
