Far East Movement
Far East Movement (often abbreviated as FM) is a Los Angeles-based American hip hop and electronic music group. Formed in 2003, the group consists of Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, with additional members involved in production and live performances. Initially known as Emcees Anonymous, they rose to prominence with their unique blend of hip hop, electronic music, and catchy pop sensibilities. Their breakout success came in 2010 with the international hit “Like a G6” (featuring The Cataracs and Dev), which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, making them the first Asian American group to achieve this feat. They followed up with other successful singles like “Rocketeer” (featuring Ryan Tedder). Far East Movement’s music is known for its energetic live shows and party anthems, often incorporating elements of electro house and synthpop.
